ALEPPO. – An Armenian was injured in Aleppo University blast, according to preliminary reports, community representative in Aleppo Zhirayr Reisian told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
He was not a student but an employee of an office located near the university. He is in the hospital now, Reisian said.
The Syrian opposition groups launched a rocket attack on University of Aleppo which claimed over 80 lives. Over 160 people were injured. The data on growing in number casualties is provided by Syrian governmental sources.
Earlier foreign media, quoting anonymous sources, said the university was allegedly attacked by the government. However, later one of the opposition forces Jabhat al-Nusra, which is designates as a terrorist organization by the U.S., claimed responsibility for attacking the university.
