Receiving education in Armenia should be a source of income, was announced by the presidential candidate, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan at the meeting with voters in Alaverdi. He recalled that during the five years of its operation the “Luys” Foundation, supported by the state, has yield 127 Armenian students to the top 10 universities in the world.
“Just imagine, the top 10 universities in the world! And five years ago, when we started this program, the top 20 universities received three dozen of our young people. Progress is evident. Often I hear from people of my age or older than myself that education in Armenia is on the decline. But where is this recession, if our young people are so successful? Are our teachers so bad, and students so illiterate?" Sargsyan said.
In this case, the main thing is for the knowledge, whether received in Armenia or abroad, to be a source of revenue for carriers of this education.
“The positive trend is that educational needs are beginning to be studied more deeply and rectors of universities make effort to cooperate with the relevant employers,” Sargsyan concluded.
