YEREVAN. – The Armenian Ministry of Defense (MOD) informs with deep regret that conscript, Private Mher Yeghshatyan (born in 1976) sustained a fatal gunshot wound, to his abdominal area,—according to preliminary data—by the adversary, on Saturday at around 9:05am.

At the time, he was carrying out military turn of duty at the base of a military unit that is located at the northeastern sector of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border zone.   

The MOD shares the grief of the dire loss and extends its support to the family members, relatives, and fellow servicemen of Mher Yeghshatyan.
