YEREVAN. – Armenia changed significantly within the 25 days of the presidential election campaign, albeit the campaign is not conducted on a level playing field. Presidential candidate, opposition Heritage Party Chairman, former FM Raffi Hovannisian said this during a press conference on Friday.   

In his words, no one could have imagined one month ago that it would be possible to rouse faith, among the people, in their own power.  

“The Armenian nation has decided, and it will go to the election by acknowledging that this is a struggle toward restoring the rights of the citizenry,” Hovannisian stated.   

I addition, the presidential candidate called upon the ruling Republican Party presidential candidate, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan, not to make use of administrative resources, and to leave the people alone so they may vote at liberty.  

“Serzh Sargsyan differs from the other politicians by the fact that he is able to listen, to accept his mistakes, and to learn [from them]; that is why he should stop using the administrative resources. If he listens, this election will become a guarantee that the Armenian nation will have a constitutional country,” Raffi Hovannisian maintained.
