YEREVAN. - Of course, we must agree that election campaign in Armenia was interesting, political analyst Alexander Makarov told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to him, the current election campaign in Armenia was notorious for PR methods used during the campaign.

“It is about the competitiveness of programs and the strategy adopted by each of the participants during this campaign. The question is, to what extent it will be possible to develop an interesting program to attract not only each candidate’s traditional voters but also voters, who were undecided," Alexander Makarov said.

According to him, other than the incumbent president, the leader of Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian also had an interesting program.

“His campaign is remarkable not only in form and content, but also because he managed to attract some voters, who did not have their own candidate,” the analyst said.

He added that at the moment there is no reason to believe that the post-election period may bring any shock or excitement.

“Some of the candidates will congratulate the winner, recognizing the legitimacy of the elections, while the others, for whatever reasons, will refrain from doing so,” Alexander Makarov concluded.
