YEREVAN. – One of the frequently used terms for the recent years in Armenia is “revolution” and for our country it is not related to change of the authorities but to the change of destinies and strive to live freely, incumbent Armenian President and presidential candidate Serzh Sargsyan told his electorate on Saturday.

According to him, as a result of the Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh] war, there are both: independent Armenia and free Artsakh, both obtained by hardship and lose.

“Our Constitution would prevent the seizure of power and at the same time, the forcible retention of power. At the moment Armenia faces a constitutional revolution,” he emphasized.

As for his opponents’ election campaigns, Sargsyan said that for example Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian changes the culture by shaking people’s hands and demonstrating that to be an opposition politician does not mean to hate the authorities.
