YEREVAN. – Armenia’s presidential contender, “Radio Hay” Company Manager and political scientist Andreas Ghukasyan, who is on a hunger strike since January 21, plans to end his hunger strike on Tuesday, when the preliminary results of Monday’s presidential voting are made public, Ghukasyan’s campaign headquarters coordinator Armen Grigoryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.   

As per Grigoryan, the presidential candidate’s overall health is in normal condition, albeit he is on the 29th day of his hunger strike. 

To note, in line with the Central Electoral Commission timetable, the preliminary results of the election will be publicized after midnight.

The sixth presidential election in Armenia got underway Monday at 8am, and it will continue until 8pm. The votes are cast in 1,988 precincts that are registered throughout the country.
