YEREVAN. - In 2012, the revenues of the only zoo in Armenia, Yerevan Zoo, totaled in 377 million AMD, which is, compared with 2011, by 19% more (61 million), the National Statistical Service of Armenia informs.
More than half of funds of the zoo - 194.6 million AMD - are traditionally covered by the state budget -. For several years, the amount of state funds remains unchanged.
In 2012, Yerevan Zoo revenues from ticket sales amounted in 105 million AMD, or 28% of total revenues. Compared to 2011, it increased by 6.1 million AMD.
Revenues of the only zoo in Armenia have also increased due to paid services and totaled in 77.3 million AMD, compared with last year’s 73.2 million.
Note that the zoo spends as much as it profits.
