YEREVAN. – We deserved such elections, the Armenian Minister for Science and Education, deputy chairman of ruling Republican Party of Armenia Armen Ashotyan posted on his Facebook page.

“The authorities have fulfilled their promise to hold the best elections in the new history of Armenia. Regarding reports on violations, part of them were investigated and rejected at the site while the rest are undergoing a legal examination.

Democracy is a process, culture, which should be cared and developed carefully in our state. These elections were in fact very important and strategic for the development of democracy in Armenia. back to work, authorities,” Ashotyan posted.

Note that on Monday the Presidential Elections were held in Armenia. Seven candidates were running for the presidency: the incumbent President and leader of ruling Republican Party Serzh Sargsyan, the leader of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian, former Armenian Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan, head of the Association National Self-Determination Paruyr Hayrikyan, political scientist Andreas Ghukasyan, former Karabakh Foreign Minister Arman Melikyan and epos specialist Vardan Sedrakyan.
