YEREVAN. - Armenian presidential candidate Vardan Sedrakyan’s headquarters has not worked on Monday and Sedrakyan has spent the whole day at home as he was celebrating his son’s birthday, he told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“I have not even a single idea about what is going on. I have watched TV and learnt that the ink is easily removed from passports. I tried to remove and I could, the same my relatives tried and they could remove ink from their passports as well,” Sedrakyan said. “These elections were absolutely no different from the previous ones, despite the final data are not yet available. The exit poll has given 3 percent to opposition candidates [Hrant] Bagratyan and [Paruyr] Hayrikyan, I got 1 percent, Serzh [Sargsyan] 58, while Raffi [Hovannisian] 32. I should mention that international Gallop organization had predicted for me 0.2 percent, hence my credit has increased.”

Note that on Monday the Presidential Elections were held in Armenia. Seven candidates were running for the presidency: the incumbent President and leader of ruling Republican Party Serzh Sargsyan, the leader of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian, former Armenian Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan, head of the Association National Self-Determination Paruyr Hayrikyan, political scientist Andreas Ghukasyan, former Karabakh Foreign Minister Arman Melikyan and epos specialist Vardan Sedrakyan.
