YEREVAN. -  Armenian Central Electoral Commission has not received any written statements with respect to violations during the Presidential Elections of Armenia. The secretary of CEC, Armen Smbatyan said in a conversation with Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He noted that not one complaint has been received even from district electoral commissions. On the question of what the reason of small number of complaints is, Smbatyan said it is due to “the high quality of the elections.”

Note that on Monday the Presidential Elections were held in Armenia. Seven candidates were running for the presidency: the incumbent President and leader of ruling Republican Party Serzh Sargsyan, the leader of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian, former Armenian Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan, head of the Association National Self-Determination Paruyr Hayrikyan, political scientist Andreas Ghukasyan, former Karabakh Foreign Minister Arman Melikyan and epos specialist Vardan Sedrakyan.
