YEREVAN. – Armenian presidential candidate, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan follows the election results at the Republican Party of Armenia headquarters.

According to the exit poll, Sargsyan has already won the elections in the first round, while the Gallop Organization claims that the incumbent President has received the 58 percent of the respondents. The opposition candidate Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian occupies the second place, while former PM Hrant Bagratyan and National Self-Determination head Paruyr Hayrikyan received by 3 percent each occupying the third place.

Note that on Monday the Presidential Elections were held in Armenia. Seven candidates were running for the presidency: the incumbent President and leader of ruling Republican Party Serzh Sargsyan, the leader of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian, former Armenian Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan, head of the Association National Self-Determination Paruyr Hayrikyan, political scientist Andreas Ghukasyan, former Karabakh Foreign Minister Arman Melikyan and epos specialist Vardan Sedrakyan.
