YEREVAN.- Armenian Central Electoral Commission continues issuing preliminary results of the presidential elections. As of 2:15, data from 756 precincts have been collected.
Serzh Sargsyan got 61.07 percent of votes (331,040 votes), followed by Raffi Hovannisian with 34.37 percent (186,295 votes) of votes. Hrant Bagratyan advanced to the third position with 2.20 percent (11,933). Paruyr Hayrikyan polled 1.11% (6,039).
Vardan Sedrakyan (0.45%), Andreas Ghukasyan (0.57%) and Arman Melikyan (0.23%) got less than one percent of votes.
Note that on Monday the Presidential Elections were held in Armenia. Seven candidates were running for the presidency: the incumbent President and leader of ruling Republican Party Serzh Sargsyan, the leader of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian, former Armenian Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan, head of the Association National Self-Determination Paruyr Hayrikyan, political scientist Andreas Ghukasyan, former Karabakh Foreign Minister Arman Melikyan and epos specialist Vardan Sedrakyan.
