YEREVAN. – Armenia’s opposition Heritage Party Chairman Raffi Hovannisian—who became the runner-up to the winner, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan, in Monday’s presidential election—will hold his next citizens’ assembly in capital city Yerevan’s Liberty Square on Thursday at 6pm, Heritage Board Vice-Chairman Armen Martirosyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

To the query as to the reason for a change in the earlier decision because Hovannisian had said, after having left the presidential residence on Thursday afternoon, that he will hold a citizens’ assembly on Friday at 5pm, Martirosyan responded as follows:

“He [that, is Hovannisian] will publicize the details of his talk with Serzh Sargsyan in tomorrow’s [Friday] assembly; and today [Thursday] just a meeting with the citizens is planned at Liberty Square.”
