YEREVAN. – The 12-month inflation rate in Armenia is expected to somewhat accelerate in the first half of 2013, reaching 4.5 percent in the end of June, the Central Bank’s (CB) inflation report informs.
The initial months of the current year do not expect to see inflationary pressures from the foreign sector, since the growth rate in global economy is expected to slowly recover.
No inflationary impact on prices is expected in domestic economy, either. On the whole, CB conditions the acceleration of the inflation rate on a possible increase in the prices of agricultural products, and it does not hope to receive a high number of crops, just like last year.
