Saribek Sukiasyan, brother of former MP Khachatour Sukiasyan was arrested and taken to Erebuni Police department, SIL Concern spokeswoman informed NEWS.am.

She maintained that reasons of arrest are yet unclear. Meanwhile NEWS.am sources report that police officers behaved offhand. At that Sukiasyan’s lawyer, Ara Zohrabyan told NEWS.am he can neither meet with his client, nor is allowed to talk to Chief of Erebuni PD.

At the 2008 Presidential elections former RA MP Khachatour Sukiasyan was openly supporting the oppositional candidate Levon Ter-Petrosyan. Thereupon, after the March 1-2, 2008 events he was on the wanted list for 1.5 years.
