YEREVAN.- Armenian president’s policy has no relation to ballot-rigging, Mayor of Kajaran said during the meeting with former presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian.
Vardan Gevorgyan stressed that ballot-rigging is ruled out, recalling that the opposition candidate received 47 percent of votes in Kajaran.
“No candidate could even dream about getting more than 30 percent. You, personally, doubted that you will be the second. The large number of your voters in the city is a merit of democracy led by Serzh Sargsyan,” Mayor told Raffi Hovannisian.
In his turn, the opposition candidate noted that results of the elections were rigged by the ruling regime, calling to make accountable everyone, including the mayors and governor of Syunik Region Suren Khachatryan.
