YEREVAN. - Nobody came to opposition leader, Raffi Hovannisian’s meeting in Goris. Arriving at 5 pm and waiting for a while, Hovannisian stopped in one of the city’s streets and addressed the citizens.
“Even with forged official data, 30% of voters in the city supported me in the elections. Nobody has come today. The important thing is in due time, Goris resisted the Turks’ attacks, defended the independence and honor of the country. These days, the same thing is repeated. Goris people start to overcome their fear."
As a source, who wished to stay anonymous, told Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter, two days before the arrival of Raffi Hovannisian, the Governor of Syunik region, native of Goris Suren Khachatryan demanded that no one must appear at the he rally, threatening bodily harm.
“His people visited all houses and threatened: if you come to the rally, we will kill you,” the source said.
