YEREVAN. – As it is known, the presidents of numerous countries have congratulated Serzh Sargsyan for being reelected President of Armenia, but President Barack Obama of the world’s number one superpower, the United States, has not congratulated him to date, 168 Zham daily reports.

“It is true that [US] Secretary of State John Kerry did congratulate President Sargsyan but, according to our information, the head of the White House likewise is expected to congratulate Serzh Sargsyan today [Thursday].

“[Armenia’s opposition Heritage Party Chairman] Raffi Hovannisian [who is declared runner-up to the winner, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan, as a result of the presidential election on February 18, but who claims to be the real winner in the vote] will certainly state that Obama has rushed in the matter of congratulating, [and] has rushed in drinking champagne. But before saying something like that, he definitely should meet with the RF [Russian Federation] Ambassador to Armenia,” 168 Zham writes.
