YEREVAN.- Armenia’s Economy Ministry and World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA) will discuss a possibility of creatng a regional tourism educational center in Armenia.
Head of tourism department Mekhak Apresyan and WFTGA chairman Felicitas Wressing announced this during the Saturday briefing in Yerevan.
Felicitas Wressing underscored importance of having an educational center, as far as Armenia is striving to increase competitive capability in this sector.
Armenian guides must have a license of certified specialists for cooperation with international partners, she added.
There are only two guides with WFTGA and seven with local certificates working in Armenia, representatives of Economy Ministry said.
On Friday Armenia’s Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan received a WFTGA delegation. He expressed readiness to deepen partnership with the federation and welcomed initiative on creating an educational center.
