YEREVAN.- Former presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian called on Serzh Sargsyan to renounce from his status as a president-elect.

Hovannisian said his only program is to protect the rights of Armenian citizens and meet demands both in terms of internal and foreign policy.

He invited Serzh Sargsyan to the Liberty Square “to acknowledge victory of the Armenian people.” If Sargsyan loves his Motherland and his family, he must not allow taking the fake oath on the Bible on April 9, Hovannisian emphasized.

The opposition leader invited Premier Tigran Sargsyan and Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan to the square make them publicly accountable for their actions, calling for Mayor's resignation.

The demonstrators participated in the vote to set the date for next rally on March 5. As to appealing to the Constitutional Court, Hovannisian said he would inform about the decision on Monday. Leader of Heritage party will continue his regional trips as well.
