YEREVAN.- Azerbaijanis made an attempt to tarnish reputation of the official representative of Armenia during the conference held in Cairo, expert for Turkish studies Ruben Safrastyan said at a press conference on Monday.

“Our Ambassador to Egypt Armen Melkonyan was addressed a question on Khojaly,” Safrastyan said, telling about conference on Armenian people’s contribution to world civilization.

Ambassador gave a reserved answer but the gathered, being not familiar with the situation, formed the right opinion on Khojaly events and real character of Azerbaijani propaganda, Safrastyan added.
