YEREVAN.- Member of ruling coalition, Orinats Yerkir party stands for punishment those responsible for violating Electoral Code, head of parliamentary group Hovhannes Margaryan told reporters.

In this context, the party underscored importance of former presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian’s decision to apply to the Constitutional Court.  

Asked whether he considers right Hovannisian’s demands on resignation of president and government, Margaryan noted that Serzh Sargsyan was elected a president which is proved by numerous congratulations from the foreign states.

“It is his right. Hovannisian is a politician, it is his strategy. However, demanding resignation of the elected president is wrong,” he said.

Calling Orinats Yerkir “a reformist political force”, Margaryan claimed they consider serious changes are necessary within power.
