YEREVAN. – Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire, at its boundaries with Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, more than 2,160 times since the beginning of 2013.

The Azerbaijani Armed Forces made use of sniper weaponry close to 390 times and large-caliber weapons, around 135 times—including large-caliber sniper weaponry, 60 times—Armenian MOD reports.

As a result of Azerbaijan’s breach of the truce, two Armenian military servicemen were killed and three others were wounded. In addition, a civilian was wounded, too. And all these incidents were recorded in February 2013.

Azerbaijan had violated the ceasefire 16,300 times in 2012

To note, this country wishes to continually set new “records” in terms of breaching the truce in recent years. It violated the ceasefire approximately 600 times in 2006; around 1,400 times in 2007; 3,500 times in 2008; virtually 4,600 times in 2009; 7,200 times in 2010; and more than 12,600 times in 2011.
