YEREVAN. – In January 2013, Armenia received 248 tons of goods, totaling $1.6 million, as humanitarian assistance, the National Statistical Service reports.

But the humanitarian aid delivered to the country reduced by about ten times, as compared with January 2012. And this is primarily due to the fact that public transport buses were not sent from China this year.

In general, however, the volume of humanitarian aid being delivered to Armenia drops each year. As case in point, in January 2013, the US sent to the country humanitarian aid totaling $337,000, and this amount is five times less than in January 2012.
