YEREVAN.- Former presidential candidate Andreas Ghukasyan has filed a petition to the Constitutional Court to recognize the February 18 presidential election results invalid.

Ghukasyan said there are numerous facts proving the ballot-rigging took place, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports from the Constitutional Court.

Former candidate said he had appealed to the Constitutional Court to clarify “why the elections were organized by Serzh Sargsyan, not the Central Electoral Commission.”

Andreas Ghukasyan said he expects an unprecedented decision.

Earlier on Monday the petition demanidng to recognize elections invalid was filed by representative of Raffi Hovannisian.
