YEREVAN. - We have submitted a 16-page lawsuit to the Constitutional Court of Armenia demanding the annulment of the final results of the presidential elections, and fixing the real results, the legal adviser to the former candidate Raffi Hovannisian said.
Karen Mezhlumyan told reporters that the suit was filed within the prescribed time limits and will be reviewed within 10 days.
In response to a question about the fact that in the last 20 years, presidential candidates, numerous times, appealed to the Constitutional Court, however, have always been refused, Hovsep Khurshudyan the spokesman for Raffi Hovannisian, said that all legal grounds are present to get a fair results.
“This is a chance for the Constitutional Court to establish itself and for the members of the Constitutional Court to clear their names from legitimizing the previous fake elections. The appeal to the Constitutional Court does not cancel the fight, which will be conducted in parallel,” he assured.
Asked what will happen if the Constitutional Court does not recognize their appeal constitutional, Khurshudyan noted that it will be another anti-constitutional decision.
