YEREVAN. – No buyers showed up Tuesday to the auctioning off of the Government of Armenia Building No.2—where the country’s Foreign Affairs, Energy and Natural Resources, and Territorial Administration Ministries currently function. As a result, the auction did not take place.
In such outcome of the auction, the contract, which was signed earlier with Tango Company—which belongs to Argentinean-Armenian businessman Eduardo Eurnekian—, enters into force, Government-Affiliated State Property Management Department Press Secretary Margarit Sargsyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Accordingly, Eurnekian receives the opportunity to purchase the aforesaid building for $51.2 million.
The respective property sale contract will be signed no later than April 30.
