YEREVAN. - If we allow the current political standoff to transcend people-power format, if people break and do not continue the calm, legitimate, positive struggle, we will lose, the secretary of the opposition Heritage party Stepan Safaryan said at a rally in support of Raffi Hovannisian in Liberty Square in Yerevan.

“We did not go on hunger strikes, sit-ins, did not go to the presidential residence on 26 Baghramyan str., we just quietly entered the voting booth and made our winning decision.

Our next steps should be based on the logic of this victory. On February 18, we created a situation for the authorities, which they cannot solve. We need to constantly create such hopeless situations for the authorities to achieve our ultimate goal – to secure victory of Raffi Hovannisian at presidential elections.”
