YEREVAN.- Armenia’s National Security Service brought charges against presidential candidate Vardan Sedrakyan within the case of assassination attempt on other ex-presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan.

Sedrakyan was charged under Article 34-305 of the Criminal Code (assassination attempt agaisnt state, political or public figure) in a criminal case investigated by the Investigation Department of the National Security Council.

Armenian capital city Yerevan’s Kentron and Nork-Marash General Jurisdiction Court on Tuesday sentenced ex-presidential contender Vardan Sedrakyan to two months in prison.
