YEREVAN. – The Constitutional Court (CC) of Armenia on Monday began deliberations on the petitions which ex-presidential candidates Raffi Hovannisian and Andreas Ghukasyan had submitted, CC Press Secretary Hovhannes Papikyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
He noted that the respective session will continue all through the day. The Court must make a ruling within ten days following the submission of a petition and, in this case, the deadline for rendering a decision is Thursday.
To note, on March 4, Hovannisian and Ghukasyan formally petitioned to the Constitutional Court and contested the Central Electoral Commission’s February 25 decision, “On the Election of the President of the Republic of Armenia.”
