YEREVAN. – On Monday, Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan presented the existing reality publicly and openly. National Assembly (NA) Deputy Speaker, and ruling Republican Party Press Secretary, Eduard Sharmazanov told this to Armenian News-NEWS.am, on Tuesday at NA, commenting on the statement by opposition Heritage Party leader, former FM Raffi Hovannisian—who is declared runner-up to the winner, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan, as a result of the presidential election that was conducted on February 18, but who claims to be the real winner in the vote and who declared a hunger strike on March 10 at capital city Yerevan’s Liberty Square—, according to which the details that Sargsyan gave, with respect to his talk with Hovannisian, are not true.
Sharmazanov’s added, however, that he does not consider it appropriate to comment on Hovannisian’s statements.
“Especially since I see neither a political component nor a political agenda in Hovannisian’s actions. Solely a political stubbornness is seen in his actions,” Eduard Sharmazanov concluded.
