YEREVAN.- Armenia’s parliamentary forces will hold a meeting this week to discuss holding a special session on post-election situation in the country, head of ruling party’s faction said.

Head of the Republican Party of Armenia group Galus Sahakyan noted they are trying to elaborate a draft statement, taking into account proposals of certain political forces. He said the main proposals refer to amending the Electoral Code. They also discussed necessity of introducing amendments to the Constitution.

Asked whether this initiative may be a failure again, Sahakyan told reporters that not reaching agreement is not a failure.

“If Heritage faction displays unwillingness to participate in the discussion, and other factions follow the lead, the special session will not be convened,” he said.
