YEREVAN. – Even though the Armenian National Assembly’s (NA) opposition Heritage Faction is not partaking in the parliamentary discussions to convene a special NA session, Heritage will examine its possible participation if the NA factions reach an agreement. Heritage’s MP Tevan Poghosyan said this to news reporters in the parliament on Wednesday.    

“I think that Heritage should not close the doors before the negotiation process, but what results will be achieved is another matter,” the MP noted, and added that Heritage should at least take part in the discussions on all matters to express its view.  

He also stated that, at present, renouncing parliamentary seats cannot resolve the existing domestic political problem in Armenia. 

“On the contrary, by being in the parliament, [and] by using the NA platform, Heritage makes its voice heard,” Tevan Poghosyan stated.
