YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan told Zhamanak daily that the representatives of the well-known French Carrefour hypermarket chain have left Armenia, the daily reports.

‘“[But] they will return in the near future, and we will continue to work,’ the minister assured. He [also] told us that he discussed the format of the activities, the area, and other technical matters with Carrefour representatives.

Is it true that the Armenian oligarchs have asked the President to put off Carrefour’s entry [into Armenia] until they receive back the money they spent during the past parliamentary and these presidential elections?

Tigran Davtyan responded to this query [as follows]: ‘There is no such thing,’” Zhamanak writes.
