YEREVAN. – The American national currency’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 418.67/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Friday; this is a 0.12-percent—or an AMD 0.51—drop from the previous trading session on Thursday.

Friday’s sales totaled $4.8 million at the stock exchange. It is apparent that the dollar’s “ascent” in Armenia was stopped by the foreign currency interventions of the Central Bank.

The US dollar lost value at the cash foreign currency market of Armenia, too. Its buying exchange rate fell all the way to AMD 417/$1 while its selling exchange rate, even to AMD 419/$1.
