YEREVAN.- A young man who tried to break in Armenian parliament’s building and was wounded by security officers is in normal health condition, chief physician of #1 hospital Karen Sahakyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

Sahakyan said the Vrezh Galstan is in the intensive care department but will be soon transferred to the department of surgery. His mother visited him on Friday, doctor said, adding that Vrezh will be examined by psychiatrist.  

As reported earlier, a 25-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound as he tried to carry in a knife into the parliament building on Friday. The man managed to enter the courtyard of the parliament, at about 2:30pm, and started voicing threats. The parliament’s security officers ordered him to throw the knife, but he disobeyed the order.

Subsequently, the security officers fired shots in the air, but the man still did not follow the order. Consequently, the police officers were forced to fire at his leg.
