YEREVAN. – Armenia’s President, Serzh Sargsyan, on Monday issued a message of congratulations to Constitutional Court (CC) President, Doctor of Law, Professor Gagik Harutyunyan, on the occasion of his 65th birth anniversary, Armenian News-NEWS.am has ascertained from the Office of the President of Armenia.  

To note, pursuant to the Constitution of Armenia, a CC member shall hold this office until the age of 65.  

Harutyunyan is the chief justice of Armenia’s Constitutional Court ever since February 1996. In 1990-1991, he served as Vice-Chairman of the Supreme Council of Armenia; from 1991 to 1995, he held the office of Vice President of Armenia; and in 1991-1992, he worked as acting Prime Minister of Armenia.
