YEREVAN. – There are forces that do not demand the resignation of the President of Armenia, in the case when the recent presidential election in the country was rigged, but they demand the dismissal of the PM. Opposition Heritage Party Vice-Chairman, National Assembly  Heritage Faction leader Ruben Hakobyan stated this Tuesday during a press conference at capital city Yerevan’s Liberty Square.

“If we demand that the results of the rigged elections be reviewed, this means we demand the resignations of the President, PM, Police Chief, Justice Minister, and of other officials,” Hakobyan said.

In his words, some propaganda tools—which criticize them for not demanding the dismissal of the PM—are indulged in demagogy. In Hakobyan’s view, here one cannot be guided by solving some private interests.

“The head of a security staff may have more powers than the PM; this is because Armenia does not live by the law,” Ruben Hakobyan maintained.
