YEREVAN.- It is necessary to regulate egg and fish prices before the Easter, head of the Consumers’ Association of Armenian Armen Poghosyan told reporters.
Increase in prices for these goods is registered during the Easter week for several years, he said.
“Despite different explanations, in fact everything is clear: demand is growing and the prices go up. It is rather naive to think that price hike is conditioned by objective reasons. It can not coincide with the Easter week every year,” he said.
Poghosyan believes the prices must be controlled by the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition. The checkups must be carried in due time, he emphasized.
