YEREVAN.- Armenia’s parliament deputy speaker Eduard Sharmazanov met with the students of the Faculty of International Relations of Yerevan State University to answer their questions relating to Armenia’s internal and foreign policy.

Speaking about the upcoming elections to the Yerevan Council, Sharmazanov noted that the Republican Party stands for competitive struggle for welfare of capital Yerevan, and for the perspective of its development. Asked about opposition’s consolidation, he called it “rather foggy”, since there is a struggle for being the first within the opposition camp.

Referring to the possible dialogue between President Serzh Sargsyan and leader of Heritage party Raffi Hovanissian, deputy speaker said his is supportive of solving political problems by political means.

Eduard Sharmazanov also briefed the students on policy of human resources, the role of social networks in the development of civil society, the problems of country’s security and the multi-vector and balanced foreign policy of Armenia.
