YEREVAN. – The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) will run in the capital city Yerevan Council elections—which are slated for May 5—under the slogan: “A better Yerevan.” RPA Press Secretary, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov informed this to news reporters, following Thursday’s session of the RPA executive body, and added that the party’s election platform was approved, as well, during the session.

“We believe Yerevan should be better than today, every day. Furthermore, steps are already taken for this. Once having received the votes of Yerevan residents, we are ready to work every day, led by [serving Mayor and RPA’s mayoral candidate] Taron Margaryan, so that our capital city Yerevan may be better,” Sharmazanov noted.
