YEREVAN. – The American national currency’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 417.35/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Friday; this is a 0.36-percent—or an AMD 1.50—drop from the previous trading session on Thursday.

This is a considerable drop for the financial market of Armenia. In all likelihood, certain stabilization of the situation in Cyprus has reflected positively on the dram.  

Friday’s sales totaled $3.9 million at the stock exchange.

The American dollar’s buying exchange rate fell all the way to AMD 415-416/$1, at the cash foreign currency market of Armenia, and its selling exchange rate is at AMD 419/$1.
