YEREVAN.- Leader of the opposition Heritage party said the citizens of Armenia and Armenians from Diaspora will take an oath for new Armenia on April 9, 2011.

Raffi Hovannisian arrived in Kapan on Monday within the framework previously announced visit to Armenia’s regions, Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports from Syunik Region.

April 9 is the day of inauguration of Serzh Sargsyan who won the election, according to the official data issued by Central Electoral Commission. On April 9, former presidential candidate Hovannisian plans to hold a mass action calling it “inauguration of New Armenia.”

Addressing residents of Kapan, he said the election results would be different if it were held properly. On the day of presidential elections, people brought changes into the country.

“On that day you all said: this is my city and this is my country. Henceforth, we are free!”

After Hovannisian’s speech a group of unknown provocateurs tried to ruin the rally shouting “Go away!”, but their efforts were in vain.
