YEREVAN. – The total foreign investments in Armenia’s economy constituted $1.59 billion in 2012, but this is a 8.6-percent reduction as compared to 2011, the National Statistical Service informs.

In the year past, the largest foreign investment to Armenia came from France, with $230 million, and this is 2.3 times more than in 2011.

The Russian companies made investments in Armenia worth $123 million, which is the second-best indicator. The Russian investments, however, have dropped by 3.2 times. 

Argentina likewise has made large investments, totaling $51 million, in Armenia. Germany’s investments amounted to $48 million, and Switzerland likewise has made considerable investments, totaling $43 million, in Armenia.  

From the remaining countries, we can highlight the investments from Seychelles, which amounted to $23 million in 2012.
