YEREVAN.- During the Wednesday meeting, Armenian parliament’s standing committee on science, education and culture discussed a draft bill on introducing amendments to the Law on Education.

The draft bill was presented by MPs Aghvan Vardanyan, Artsvik Minasyan, Armen Rustamyan, Vahan Hovhannisyan and Armen Babayan.

The lawmakers offer to grant fee of charge education to the residents of border regions and high mountainous regions if they are obliged to stay and work in the regions for five years after they graduate.

Education Minister Armen Ashotyan presented government’s positive conclusion on the bill.
