YEREVAN.- Armenian Deputy PM, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan on Saturday visited Armavir Region to inspect flood protection works.

Joined by the Ministers of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan, Governor Ashot Kaghramanyan and other officials, Gevorgyan inspected bank protection works on Araks River which are planned to be completed by mid April.

In the coming weeks, bank protection works on Metsamor River will be completed, too.

The government has allocated AMD 679 million (around $1.6 million) to fix bank protection facilities.
