YEREVAN.- The problem of a transport system is a priority task for Arakelutyun (Mission) party in the upcoming elections to the Yerevan council.
During the Monday press conference, spokesman Mesrop Arakelyan spoke about party’s priorities included in the electoral program.
He pointed out expansion of Yerevan metro, reducing passenger fare, repair and re-equipment of elevators, improvement of underpasses.
“As for the post-election processes, we will talk about it after the elections,” he concluded.
Six political parties and one bloc have submitted formal applications to run in the Yerevan Council elections. The latter are slated for May 5, and the participating political forces will vie for 65 Council seats. The election campaign will come to an end on May 3. The Yerevan Council election will be held with proportional lists only.
