YEREVAN. – The bodies of two of the five Armenian citizens, who had lost their lives as a result of a huge traffic accident that occurred in the Petushinski District of Vladimirskaya Oblast (Region) of Russia, are transferred to Armenia, the Ministry of Emergency Situations news service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

The bodies of Sasunik Sargsyan and Zurab Avagyan were brought from Moscow to Armenian capital city Yerevan on Friday morning.   

According to the scheduled flight, the bodies of Vardan Vardanyan, Artyom Khachatryan, and Artur Khachatryan likewise will be transferred on the same day. 

To note, eight people had died and one person sustained injuries as a result of the aforesaid collision.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, seven people, including five citizens of Armenia, have been identified. The authorities of Vladimirskaya Oblast (Region) provided information on those killed in the accident: Alexander Shustrov (born in 1967), Zurab Avagyan (1981), Sasunik Sargsyan (1963), Vardan Vardanyan (1980), Artyom Khachatryan (1987), Artur Khachatryan (1988), Andrey Legomin (1982). Fifty-year-old Armen Vardanyan is hospitalized. The Armenian community in Ivanovo informed that the Armenian citizens had come to work on construction.

To note, the Russian Federation National Center for Crisis Management sent information on Tuesday to Armenia’s Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, according to which the passengers of the Gyumri-Moscow flight, which landed on Monday at 6:57pm, had headed to the Russian capital city with a Gazelle-model minibus. But a road accident occurred on the way and nearby Boldino residential area in the Petushinski District. The Gazelle, a Mitsubishi, and a Volvo truck crashed and, subsequently, a fire broke out.
