YEREVAN. – The election comedy has ended and the curtains are closed, Marxist Party of Armenia leader Davit Hakobyan stated during a press conference on Friday.

According to him, the “English Vikings” could not get revenge on the “Artsakh Vikings,” and “due to the Achilles’ heel of the Armenian people: Disunity, and the absence of political arsenal during struggle.”

“The future history writers will write that the smoke of political rebellion rose [in Armenia], but the volcano did not erupt. The ‘Artsakh [that is, Nagorno-Karabakh] Vikings’ settled on the Armenian throne for a fourth time,” Hakobyan said.

Reflecting on the capital city Yerevan Council election which is slated for May 5, Davit Hakobyan noted that this voting is not worth analyzing because the six political forces that are running in this election did not come to understand that the mayor’s establishment is a political establishment.
